Here are the latest pics of the sweet potato slips -I now have 12 taken off the potato and as you can see in the background the sweet potato is still throwing off more!!!
The first 2 pots now have plenty of healthy roots and leaves and the last pot is rooting too now. Hopefully a few more warm days and I will be able to get them into the dustbins to grow -fingers crossed that I get lots of sweet potatoes off them.
I seem to find the slips really easy to grow -so when i move back to the UK and start growing there -I will end up passing my spares off to those of you that I "know" from other sites lol

You've guessed it, I've still not got any slips, Jealousy and more jealousy. However while one of the potatoes is still doing it's best to rot, both have actually started to root so maybe.... :-)

You are certainly tempting me to try sweet potatoes next year. It's on the possible one new veg a year list
